Caretello B is dead!
“Today was a sad day for me, my family and my whole team, it was a farewell with many tears.
The many great memories will comfort me, they will remain, especially the sporting successes at tournaments around the world with me, but above all with his riders Holger Wulschner/GER and Rob Ehrens/NL.
The successes in breeding with his many licensed sons and the successes of his offspring, above all the exceptional horse Camirez B, have made him something very special, the star of the south, as he was often called with great respect.
His appearances at all the stallion shows will also remain legendary, where he showed us again and again who is responsible for the show here.
Caretello B was discovered by my parents Eva and Josef Bachl more than 30 years ago, who always believed in him, paved his way and he became the figurehead of our stable for the last 3 decades.
He even survived the catastrophic fire in August 2013, miraculously for all of us, he was rescued from the flames after 2 hours and was the phoenix from the ashes, which always gave us hope not to give up.
Now he is with his “boss” (Josef Bachl), rest in peace my friend, you will remain unforgotten for all of us.
I would also like to thank my whole team, who have taken such care of him over the past few years, each and every one of them and also our station vet Dr. Keitel, who looked after him very dignified in the last few hours.
