CHAPPELOUP

Successful internationally up to 1.60m

Olympic genes characterize the pedigree of this exceptional athlete, who presents himself with great character. Chappeloup confidently qualified for the German National Show Jumping Championships in 2018, placed and won numerous show jumping competitions up to class M, and also completed a highly acclaimed 50-day test in Schlieckau (final show jumping score: 8.49). He is now successful internationally up to 1.60 m under Magdalena Fischer (AUT). In 2024, he became Austrian State Champion under his regular rider with 4 clear rounds and a height of 1.60 m. In June 2026, the pair wins the Stadl-Paura Grand Prix (1.50 m) after a challenging jump-off! His sire Fergar Mail is a son of the highly successful French thoroughbred Laudanum xx out of a Hanoverian mare by Almé Z-Gotthard-Friesenkönig bred in Zangersheide. He thus carried the best jumping bloodlines and was internationally successful in Mexico under the name Chapultepec la Silla. His most famous stallion sons are Lamm de Fétan/Thimothée Anciaume (FRA, Nations Cup winner CHIO Aachen 2009) and Singular LS la Silla/Maria Getzer (SWE) and Marcus Ehning.

On his dam’s side, Caretano Z and Coriano are both stallions who have played a role in international show jumping. His granddam Legende produced the proven sire Nekton. His great-granddam Viola XI produced Capitol I, the internationally successful sire Cento, who won the Grand Prix of La Baule (FRA), Munich, Aachen, and Calgary (CAN) with Otto Becker. He was also World Cup winner in 2000, Olympic team champion, and European team champion, among other achievements. This traditional Holstein line 2137 has produced 17 licensed stallions to date. His dam line includes numerous sport horses up to 1.60m level.

Chappeloup’s attributes are a magnificent canter and, in terms of his jumping qualities, he knows how to play to the strengths of his pedigree: take-off, ability, bascule, and technique are all at their optimum.
