SANVARO
Prize money won by offspring > €1,1 Mio
Modern type, size, rideability, and jumping ability, as well as exceptional heredity, make the “comeback kid” Sanvaro something very special. Sanvaro himself was already successful in jumping up to 1.45 m at the age of 7. As a young stallion, he was used for breeding for two seasons and produced offspring that are victorious up to 1.60 m from this short period. First and foremost among them is “The Sinner,” who won the 2021 World Cup show jumping in London with Martin Fuchs, following his 2019 victory. This is an exceptionally high frequency, genetically preprogrammed, so to speak, by a very special pedigree.
In recent years, Sanvaro’s offspring have been so successful that in 2021 he ranked second in the Hippomundo Power Value list of stallions with offspring up to 12 years old. From this short breeding period, he has produced many offspring that are successful in international 1.50-1.60 m competitions and have already jumped more than €1,1 Mio in prize money! With Sandro Boy, Calvaro Z, and Quick Star, three internationally successful top stallions are directly descended from the pedigree. The dam Quilara herself competed under Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst at the Young Horse World Championships in Lanaken, was a top PSI horse worth €400,000, and is a half-sister to the international show jumper Quintera 17/Leon Thijssen (NED). Quilara produced three 1.50 m show jumpers. The dam’s sire, Calvaro Z, competed internationally at the highest level under Jos Lansink and Michael and John Whitaker. He has developed into a true stamp stallion thanks to offspring such as Katchina Mail (Patrice Delaveau), Grafton (Connor Swail), and Sarena (Ben Maher). The granddam, Quicosse, produced four internationally successful show jumpers. The French Quick Star in the third generation delivered several true “hussar rides” with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and won several “Grand Prix”. Sanvaro represents the valuable original Oldenburg dam line 46/Edoste, which produced 17 licensed stallions. In the last four generations of his dam line, he has produced many successful show jumpers at 1.40-1.60m. He is well on his way to becoming a globally recognized sire.
